On the one hand, this has offered individuals unprecedented levels of freedom and mobility. On the other hand, people have never felt more alone, anxious, confused, and filled with self-doubt.

Finding the right balance between our paradoxical needs for both security and risk, predictability and progress, safety and adventure, is the challenge for the modern individual. While too much structure can stifle growth, we have also all seen how too much freedom and lack of boundaries can lead to uncertainty and instability.
